オランダ、LAを拠点に活躍するアルメニア人DJ／プロデューサー／SSWのFull Crate(フル・クレート)が、約2年の制作期間を経たデビュー・フルアルバム 『A Kid from Yerevan』を発表。
13歳までヨーロッパの最東端に位置するアルメニア共和国の首都、エレバンで移民の子供として育てられたという自身のユニークな生い立ちや家族の歴史を織り交ぜ、ダイナミックなライフストーリーを初めて公に告白した本作はプロデューサー/DJとしてキャリアを積んだ彼が、自身で曲を書きボーカリストとしての才能も開花させた充実作。
R&B、エレクトロニック、ヒップホップを融合した心地良くも自身の膨大な音楽レパートリーを体感できる全12曲を収録したこのアルバムには、自身共演するのが夢だったというグラミーノミネーターのBJ The Chicago Kid、Anderson .PaakやKendrick Lamar等のプロデュースも手がけるJairus “JMO” Mozee、世界が注目する女性ドラマーThe Pocket Queen を初め、Lola Vialet、Uhmeer、MALIA、Jordyn、Niyah Delenn、Qris Davis、Dende、Siham 等 世界の音楽シーンの最前線で活躍する新鋭アーティスト達がこぞって参加。生バンドを擁した自身初のヘッドライン・ツアーも本作発売に合わせて欧州の主要都市(ベルリン、ハンブルク、ロンドン、ゲント、アムステルダム)で始まる模様だ。

“😮💨 It feels unreal but it’s finally happening! I am releasing my debut album ‘A Kid From Yerevan’ June 2nd!
Two years in the making, it’s been a beautiful but also challenging process. I open up about my heritage and share my journey as an immigrant kid from Armenia moving around and not feeling at home anywhere. I share the struggles I conquer and the ones that break me down sometimes, and of course, my trials and tribulations in love…..it’s all written in this debut album.
All of the songs I have been releasing this year are leading up to this album…the biggest project I have ever worked on!
I stepped into a new role with this debut album…the role of an artist I always wanted to be. People know me as a DJ / Producer but I have more storytelling to share and more to give, which I feel like I have finally done with this album. I sing the entire record and that is something that was so important to me in order to translate all my feelings and experiences. Yes there are plenty of features and collaborations on the record but it was important for me to tell my story with my voice and write all the songs from my experiences.
This album has been such a therapy session for me as it took me over a year to write & produce. I have recorded this album all over the world. Everywhere I would travel for shows I would end up writing a song and recording where I can. From hotel rooms and friends houses to trains, airplains, parks and big fancy studios.
Finding myself as a singer & songwriter is a journey I am still on…but one that showed me that if you truly take the time to work on yourself and build and your try new things and step out of your comfort zone…anything is possible. I have challenged myself as a writer, composer, arranger & producer on this album…and I can not wait for the world to hear my journey. “
